I made some cards for a friend as a going away gift, and wanted something special to hold the cards instead of just handing her a stack of cards. I came up with this:
I left the cards without sentiments because I figured she would get more use out of them this way. I stamped a few generic sentiments and punched them out, and I also made a few monograms that she could just attach to the card in case she didn’t want to use any of the sentiments. They are nicely tucked away in the front pocket, which has velcro for easy access. But, I think the cards turned out cute as they are and she could just send out just as is. Supplies I used for this project:
- Pink Pirouette Cardstock
- Crumb Cake Cardstock
- Very Vanilla Cardstock
- Blushing Bride Cardstock
- Blushing Bride Patterned Paper
- Flower Garden Embossing Folder
- Square Lattice Embossing Folder
- Scalloped Border Punch
- Crumb Cake Seam Binding
- Button, Hemp twine, and Brads
After I made the tote, I had ideas flowing in my head and came up with two slight variations of the tote card holder. The dimensions are exactly the same, just decorated a little differently.
Which one do you like? If you are interested in the dimensions/directions, let me know which one you like the best. I will recreate the tote with instructions if there is enough interest.
Love them all, but really would be interested in learning how to make the pink one. The cards are really beautiful too. Great job.
Hi there,
The tote and cards are great. Like the idea of including the different sayings for her to pick from. The pink one is my favorite. I think it would be great for a fundraiser I participate in January. Only bad thing is I would need 40 totes and cards to put in them! Hope the tote is easy. Thanks! – Valois
