Faux Ribbon & Frame card

How come it sounds better in French? The word “faux” sounds so much more elegant than “fake”…Anyways, I was playing around with shimmer paints and reinkers…they are so much fun. I just painted a sheet of white cardstock with the frost white shimmer paint & a couple drops of the pool party reinker…and it turned out really pretty. Looks like pearlized/metallic paper that you would buy. I was also inspired by the sneak peek of the ribbon in our upcoming Stampin’ Up holiday mini..so I decided to make my own out of cardstock. This is the card that I came up with:

Here are the stampin’ supplies:

  • Crumb cake cardstock
  • Pool party cardstock
  • In Color Designer Series Paper Patterns Stack
  • Frost White Shimmer Paint
  • Pool Party reinker
  • Crumb Cake ink pad
  • Petite Pairs Stamp Set
  • Square Lattice Embossing Folder
  • Polka Dots Embossing Folder
  • Dotted Scallop Border Punch
  • Itty Bitty Shapes Punch
  • Boho Blossoms Punch
  • Dazzling Diamonds Glitter
  • Basic Rhinestones
